Mahara supported the development of the document “Violence Against Women Strategy”. Mahara followed a methodology that included desk review of relevant national reports and strategies, interviews with national stakeholders so that the project will be compatible with national plans and strategies towards maximum community benefit.

Mahara was assigned to manage and implement the “Training of Trainers Project” as part of the projects at Freedom House. This included developing a criterion of selection for trainees and the trainers' methodology review and suggested amendments.

Mahara supervised the implementation of the training, conducted an evaluation process, and finally submitted a final report that included the documentation of the project, observations and recommendations.

Through the implementation of the “Public Private Partnership Project”, Mahara recognized the Family Justice Model of the USA to combat family violence as a potential model to be established in Jordan. Mahara worked with Vital Voices to submit a proposal to MEPI for technical assistance to support Jordanian organizations towards the establishment of a collocated service model in Jordan as a regional pilot project.

The project included international technical expertise, a study tour of Jordanian specialists to learn about the FJC models in the USA and capacity building to coordinate and manage a collocated pilot project. Mahara also manages the project as Vital Voices' main partners in Jordan.
